SHI has become a specialist in this sector, especially in the production of high-quality structural elements. That's why our motto is:

Our raw material comes from the Hutter Sawmill and reliable local timber suppliers. They have expert know-how in kerf and drying technology and are renowned for their high-quality products. Such skills are, of course, the best pre-requisites for SHI products:

Finger-jointing plays a significant role in the manufacturing process. It is a definitive step in which imperfections in the sawnwood are removed and the boards, free of defects, are then connected by means of finger-jointing. This means that we can enhance the wood to its best advantage.
We only use sophisticated technology in our manufacturing processes. Completely new machinery was installed in 2000, therefore it is state of the art. One special aspect was the introduction of the "golden eye", a machine which automatically detects imperfections by means of high-tech apparatus and X-rays.
